The seventh edition of Vox Marmoris, the annual festival celebrating the intersection of music, art, and technology, concluded with great success. The event, held on July 26-27, 2024, between the historic center of Carrara and the Marble Depot "Successori Adolfo Corsi" in Colonnata, saw an extraordinary turnout, confirming the growing public interest in this unique cultural gathering.
This year's edition offered an immersive and engaging experience, making the festival particularly special as, for the first time, Vox Marmoris evolved into a two-day, widespread event. The festival stretched from the marble quarries to the heart of Carrara’s historic center, involving iconic cultural and artistic venues such as the Sculptors' Cooperative, Torart Factory, the MudaC Museum, the Marble Depot "Successori Adolfo Corsi," Palazzo Binelli, and the Civico 1 Art Gallery. The program ranged from daytime conferences to evening electronic music performances and artistic installations. Attendees were treated to stimulating, highly interactive talks where artists and experts shared their innovative visions of music, contemporary art, and new technologies.

The talks held at Palazzo Binelli were met with enthusiastic participation. On July 26, Ephemeral Tomorrow and O. aka Olivia explored the potential of light and TouchDesigner in "Light Echoes," while Cristian Rizzuti and Julian Alvárez presented "Amnesia," a sensory video installation that captivated the audience. On July 27, Quayola discussed the innovative fusion between technology and sculpture, followed by Max Cooper, who enchanted the audience with his synesthetic experience "Fighters." These final talks also featured O. aka Olivia, who enriched the discussions with her unique contributions. Moderator Damir Ivic expertly guided the debates, making each session a moment of cultural enrichment.

Carrara’s historic center was animated by artistic installations and performances that transformed public spaces into places of discovery and wonder. Cristian Rizzuti and Julian Alvárez’s "Amnesia" turned the canvas into a stage for human memory, weaving light and sound into an immersive sensory journey. Quayola presented "Fighters (I Lottatori)," a marble sculpture created with a robotic arm, blending tradition with artistic innovation. In "Fighters X Palestrina Sicut | Seme," Quayola and Max Cooper explored the dialogue between robotic sculpture and digital symphonies. Ephemeral Tomorrow and O. aka Olivia offered "Light Echoes”, a laser installation merging art, science, and nature. Finally, "Metamorphoses" and the collaboration with White Carrara honored marble, celebrating its transformation.

In the evening, the Marble Depot "Successori Adolfo Corsi" transformed into a spectacular stage of lights, sounds, and video projections. Performances by prominent artists such as Daniele Baldelli, Danilo Plessow aka MCDE, HAAi, Vox Marmoris SoundSystem, Donato Dozzy, Martina Potente, Max Cooper, and The Quarrier thrilled the audience, creating a magical and immersive atmosphere.
